Why this tool feels different

Text Statistics should do more than count words. This version treats the page like a live writing desk: it measures length, rhythm, repetition, and structure the moment you paste a draft.

What it measures

You get the core counts you expect, then the signals that actually help editing: unique words, average sentence length, lexical diversity, longest paragraph, and repeated terms. When the browser supports Intl.Segmenter, these numbers are segmented in a way that works better across writing systems.

When to use it

Use it before publishing landing-page copy, product descriptions, scripts, newsletters, bios, or meeting summaries. It is especially useful when something feels too wordy, too repetitive, or too dense, but you need a fast clue about why.
